This week on the Browns blog, three more of our popular Health and Safety training courses are under the spotlight. Last week, we took a look at some of our brand new working at height courses; this week, it’s the turn of our Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and Emergency First Aid courses to keep your staff safe.
Manual Handling training course
Our Manual Handling training course is a perfect introduction to safe moving, lifting, loading and carrying for your staff; the course is ideal for any industry and age group, and makes up part of the employers’ Health & Safety statutory requirement.
Taking just four hours to complete, our Manual Handling course covers your employees for three years and can be paired with another of our half-day courses such as our working at heights training course or our in-house Ladders and Steps training course.
The course, which can be delivered to up to 12 participants at a time, covers the following themes:

- Lifting and carrying safely
- Techniques to avoid injury and strain

The course is recommended by the Health and Safety Executive for ‘appointed’ first aiders in low risk environments.
