Here at Browns Ladders, we don’t only supply fantastic, durable, high performance products; we also provide fantastic safety training and those all-important ladder inspections – which we’re going to be talking about in today’s blog.
Ensuring your access equipment is safe should be one of your top priorities and it’s your responsibility to ensure that any equipment of this type is properly inspected at least twice a year to maintain employee safety.
Browns Ladders: A company you can trust in
At Browns Ladder, we offer ladder inspections to some of the best companies in the UK – from Walkers Snack Foods to Warbutons Bakeries, and Heineken Bakeries to numerous hospitals, schools and local authorities. Our reputation and skill at conducting onsite ladders and equipment inspections is second to none and hiring Browns Ladders to complete your inspections has just got that little bit better…
A new system for more efficient and even safer inspections
We have just invested in a new, state of the art PDA system that enables more efficient scheduling and inspection management. The equipment has helped improve our productivity, reduced our downtime and helped to ensure a safer working environment for all of our customers. The new technology allows all our operatives and staff to enter details about a specific product on a customer’s premises into a PDA. This is then synchronised centrally back at the office when the inspectors return to base. The result? We can log data from your inspection quickly and efficiently and ensure there is no loss of data along the way.
What’s more, with our new PDA system, we’ll not only be able to generate reports at the touch of a button, you’ll also be able to receive detailed information about the inspection at the touch of a button too. Of course, another important benefit of going digital with our processes is that it’s a much more environmentally friendly way of working – so no more mounds of paperwork flying around!
How our inspections work
- Our experienced team of inspectors will visit your place of work and can inspect up to 50 of your access items in one day. If any of your products need repairs and have failed the inspection we are also able to complete these repairs and return the item to you on the same day.
- We recommend you schedule inspections for every 3-6 months, depending on how frequently you use your access equipment. We’ll always advise you on your next inspection date and will also contact you around two weeks before as a reminder. All products inspected will also be tagged and will have a next inspection date associated with them.
- After each inspection you’ll receive a report that clearly shows the status of each item and what took place at the inspection.
