Our first aid at work course covers the course content specified in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
It gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace.
This course now includes a practical, hands-on automated external defibrillator (AED) awareness session using trainer AEDs, a move which has been welcomed by the Health and Safety Executive, citing that awareness training instils greater confidence in the use of AEDs.
Each day on the 3-Day training course is a full day, lasting approx. 8 hours each (for a total of around 24 hours training).
You’ll be tested throughout the course; as you complete each session, you’ll complete a theory and practical session to test your knowledge of the relevant topics you’ve just learned.
All the basic knowledge of first aid will be covered in the full training provided on the course, so you won’t need to have any previous knowledge.
Yes – when you successfully complete the course (including all assessments), you’ll receive a certificate of training, which will be valid for 3 years.
